Bispham opticians lend their support to local boys football team
Updated: Aug 10
Wooding Opticians have provided their support to a local boys football team by sponsoring their playing kit.
We are delighted to have partnered with Bispham Junior Football Federation to sponsor the away and training kit for the U15 Blades Whites for the next two seasons.
This is the first year we have sponsored the Bispham Junior Football Federation (BJFF), and the team took a special trip to the practice before Christmas to show off the new kit.
Although all grassroots football has been suspended due to the pandemic, the boys will be hoping success comes their way in the new strip once games resume.
This sponsorship continues Wooding Opticians’ support to the local community during the pandemic, as staff have been delivering glasses to vulnerable and self-isolating patients, as well as providing emergency and essential care, since restrictions began in March.
Practice Partner and Dispensing Optician, Tina Swift, said: “Maintaining our role in the community is so important to all of us at Wooding, so supporting a terrific club which is vital to the young people in our area was a no-brainer.
“Grassroots sport is so important to children’s wellbeing, both physically and mentally, so we really must do all we can to give back to groups who do so much for us, especially during challenging times.
“It’s obviously a shame that the boys are not currently able to play competitively, but we can’t wait to see them back in action when it’s safe, and we wish them every success for their future games.
“We hope this is the start of a long and successful partnership with BJFF and we are very proud to be supporting them.”
